world famous Brazilian superstar Cazuza, a gay singer, poet, and seductive enfant terrible. He made his claim to fame as vocalist and leader of the popular 1980s rock group "O Vermelho." Cazuza´s Brazilian style rock was greatly influenced by revered musicial icons of the 1960s and 1970s such as Janis Joplin and Led Zeppelin. His lyrics voice the hopes of a whole generation, symbolizing the middle-class youth rebellion and their strong desire to experience life. Cazuza is uncannily portrayed by the brilliant Daniel de Oliveira, who masterfully captures the intensity of Cazuza´s bohemian and hedonistic lifestyle. Cazuza was the first Brazilian artist to publicly acknowledge his struggle with AIDS. In his memory, his mother created the Sociedade Viva Cazuza, supporting HIV & children. This film about the path of an artist for whom time does not stop is a unique experience.
